Then we headed up to the DC temple to have a carnic (kinda like a picnic but it was freezing so we ate in the car) and walk around the visitors center. This was the highlight for Karlee. She was so sad the last time Matt and I went to the temple because she didn't get to go. She loved coloring the pictures of the temple and if you got an email of a picture of a colored temple it's from Karlee :)
| Story of our lives. Colton always screaming! |
We have some friends Amber and Gordon who just recently moved to the DC area and were so kind to let us crash at their place last minute. Gordon works for one of the House Representatives for the state of Utah and scheduled a private tour of the capitol. We are glad that we were able to do it but it was so crazy with our screamer. We wish we could have done it without kids because our tour guide had so many stories and information to tell us but we didn't get around to most of it. Oh well. We'll have to come back when the kids are older.
In the capitol there are two statues of people from every state. Brigham Young was one of Utah's so of course we had to get our picture with him.

Looks like fun! It is a sad day when there are no more breaks for the hubby. Oh well!
I love the pictures of your family vacation. Someday Colton will smile instead of trying to eat the camara. And yes the little human, tazmanian devil will eventually settle. :) Love you all and looking forward to seeing you at Grad.
