Ants be gone
So Matt wasn't kidding about our ant problem. I came across a little home remedy to get rid of ants on pintrest. I tried it last night, when we went to bed there were hundreds of ants (I should have taken a picture, but it was gross). This morning the ants are GONE!! If you have ants I highly recommend doing THIS. I followed the directions exactly and it worked.

Easter Happenings
Our Easter was great. The Saturday before was fun and filled with Easter egg hunts. Matt was busy studying so we hit all of them. It was a good time. The first egg hunt was with some of the LDS law students families. Karlee loved it.
The Easter Bunny likes to put a trail of eggs from Karlee's bed to her basket. She woke up and came into our room and said, "Mommy, there are eggs EVERYWHERE!" I asked her if she did that and she said no I didn't, I promise. Then she found her basket. Ever since when we are at the store she shows me every toy and says "I want the Easter Bunny to bring me that". If I say ok...then she'll just move onto the next toy. Never asking to have it right now. (I hope she doesn't remember everything she's ask for)

| Colton wasn't interested in the eggs. Only the bark. |

Later that day we went to another egg hunt. One family couldn't make it to the earlier hunt so they hosted a small one.

They Are Just Little. . .
Our bathroom has an ant problem. The amount of ants varies from just a few to hundreds at times. Worth noting is Kim has been begging me to do something about the ants but to date I haven't done anything about our tiny little friends.
Today I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth when Karlee came in and we had the following conversation:
Karlee: Daddy, mommy hates ants
Me: What did you say Karlee?
Karlee: Mommy, she hates ants
Me: Yeah she does, mom is kind of a wuss when it comes to bugs
Karlee: Yeah, (as she picks an ant up and squeezes it between her fingers) they are just little, you can squeeze them!
I am glad that Karlee has a bit more spine to her when it comes to bugs.

Visitors!
We love when we have visitors! A couple of weeks ago my parents and grandma were in town for about 10 days. It was fun to have them here. My grandma had never been out here or to DC so we did all the touristy things like Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Yankee Candle, Mount Vernon, Temple, went to see the cherry blossoms in DC, etc. etc. It was eventful and fun and now I feel like I have the boost to get through finals being a single parent.
Fun time was had by all of us. We were glad that they got to come and spend some time with us. It was also fun to have my grandma here!

My grandma's main request was to visit the temple. I absolutely love the DC temple. It's so BIG and so pretty!
We celebrated my dad's birthday. By trying out one of the 50 pancake houses in Williamsburg. It didn't disappoint. Glad we chose a good one. We also went to Yorktown and Bonefish Grill. ![]() |

The Asian Invasion
So the other day we met a friend at Colonial Williamsburg for a picnic and to let the kids run around. We like to go to Colonial Williamsburg a lot, it's a two minute walk from our house, Karlee loves to run around on the grass, the weather has been amazing this winter and spring. So needless to say we do this at least once or twice a week. This time was a little bit different although it started out the same. We got our sandwiches from the Cheese Shop then headed over to the Palace Greens to sit on a blanket and eat our lunch. As we were finishing up eating a guy came up to us. He said he was from China and asked if he could take a picture of our children. We looked at each other and neither of us were really sure what to say. So we agreed and he started taking pictures of all of us. All of the sudden out of no where we were surrounded by about 15 Chinese people talking our picture and taking turns being in the picture with us. They kept saying "oh so beautiful". My friend and I kept looking at each other wondering what in the world was going on. I wish that I would have had my camera to take a picture of all of them taking pictures of us. It looked a little something like this:
